We have listed below some common questions that people ask us. If your question isn’t listed here, please contact us and we will be happy to help you.
I want to make an appointment, but I’m not sure where to start
If you know that you need some help with something but you’re not sure which practitioner to book with, just phone us and one of our practitioners will speak to you on the phone. We’ll be able to recommend the most appropriate practitioner for your first appointment and can make the booking for you at the same time.
I work fulltime, do you have out of hours appointments?
Yes. Most of our practitioners offer some standard out-of-hours sessions. Also, in special circumstances it may be possible to negotiate an out-of-session appointment time. Please phone us and we will do our best to organise something for you.
I’m doing IVF, what if my Embryo Transfer falls on a public holiday?
At Well2 we are very experienced in IVF support. We know that IVF Transfers can be scheduled for public holidays and we will usually have an acupuncturist available. Please let us know as soon as possible that you may have an Embryo Transfer occurring on a particular date, even if the time of your procedure hasn’t been confirmed yet. We can put you on our day list and exact times can be confirmed when you have been notified by your reproductive clinic.
What do I need to bring to an appointment?
You don’t need to bring anything specific to your appointments. If you have any test results from your doctor or specialist that are relevant to your visit with us, please bring those with you. If you don’t have any test results, that doesn’t matter. The practitioner will talk to you at your appointment and so you can tell them the information.
If you have been referred by your doctor to our Psychologist or Dietitian please bring your Health Plan paperwork to enable us to process your Medicare claim.
Do I need a referral from my doctor?
You can make an appointment with any of our practitioners without a referral from your doctor.
Do you have health fund rebates?
Yes. All of our acupuncturists are covered for Health Fund rebates.
Naturopaths were removed from Private Health Fund Rebates in 2019 so you are unable to claim for naturopathy services.
We also have HICAPS so you have the convenience of on the spot claims. Please remember to bring your health fund membership card with you to your appointment as we are unable to process HICAPS claims without your card. The amount rebated by Health Funds for our services varies between funds and with each table within each fund. If you need to know how much rebate you will receive prior to attending our clinic please phone your Health Fund as they will be able to tell you based on your individual membership with them.
Does Medicare cover any of the treatments?
At this time, Medicare doesn't cover either acupuncture or naturopathy services.
